Our most popular in-vitro diagnostic stain, HANSEL® Stain continues to be a One-MinuteTechnic for the evaluation of eosinophils and neutrophils in nasal, urine and other secretions. URINE SEDIMENT STAIN

Concentrated Stain for Urinary Sediment

Lide Laboratories' Urine Sediment Stain combines the dyes originally developed by Sternheimer and Malbin with the base formula used in our HANSEL Stain. The buffered solvent and glycerin/water base combine to produce an effective vehicle that can carry the stains evenly at a low pH. The formation is considered to be a true solution, precipitates are not expected and filtration is therefore not required.The formulation stains blood cells, casts and other formed elements in urinary sediment in a distinctive fashion which permits rapid and accurate identification. OTICELL™ Microbiologic Stain

Lide Laboratories' OTICELL Stain is a microbiologic stain
used to color bacterial cells, yeast and leukocytes to increase their visibility under a microscope. OTICELL Stain contains two certified biological stains: Methylene Blue and Eosin Y. Due to the chemical properties of the stains and their cellular reactions, staining can distinguish cell shape (morphology) and differentiate cellular components. This process can facilitate in the identification of microorganisms and the differentiation of cell types that may be present in a microbiologic sample. The dyes in OTICELL Stain are dissolved in methanol and added to a glycerin/water base similar to our HANSEL Stain. The “One Minute Technic” requires only
one stain and one application. It is a quick, easy and inexpensive diagnostic procedure that provides meaningful results. Our WRIGHT-GIEMSA Stain contains Wright Stain, Giemsa Stain and Eosin-Y Stain in a similar HANSEL modified formulation. The buffered solvent and glycerin/water base allow effective application and results on a variety of specimens including blood, as well as exudative and exfoliative specimens. Our WRIGHT-GIEMSA V-Cell Stain is recommended for Veterinary use and is effective for use in canine Vaginal cytology as an aid in predicting optimum breeding times. Wolff Products - Veterinary Culture Media

  

We now manufacture many different types of culture media intended for veterinary use. These products were formerly produced by Wolff Laboratories Inc. Many types of media are produced and can be used for bacterial identification and isolation. Single (mono) plates to quad plates with multiple types of media are designed to be species specific and selective for both gram-negative and gram-positive organisms.

NEW FEATURED PRODUCT: OTICELL™ QUAD PLATES

Lide Laboratories' OTICELL Quad Plate is designed for the growth, separation and identification of microorganisms associated with otic infections. The plate contains four specific types of media for this purpose including:

Sabouraud Dextrose Agar with Chloramphenicol is formulated for the growth and identification of yeast while inhibiting other organisms.

Heart Infusion Blood Agar is for the growth of most all organisms and determining hemolysis.

Baird Parker Agar is for the growth and identification
of staph. ssp while inhibiting other bacteria.

MacConkey Agar supports the growth of gram-
negative bacteria.

Use OTICELL Stain prior to culturing to identify bacteria, yeast and other elements in otic sediment at the time of sample collection.
